Hope for the Struggling Single’s Heart
If you are anything like me, you often struggle with insecurity and feeling unloved. For the single who struggles with feeling this way, it can be easy to blame these feelings on one’s single status. Thoughts such as if only I were married, I would know that someone loves me or no one wants me, so there must be something wrong with me may cloud better judgment and knowledge of scriptural truth. Well, my struggling friend, this series is for you! Join me as we explore our identity in Christ and the healing balm that He can pour into our souls as we open up the most raw and vulnerable recesses of our hearts to Him.

In this series, I will be opening up about my personal struggles with singleness, not for pity or as a venting session, but because I am burdened about encouraging those in a similar situation. Friend, if you are a struggling single, let me tell you, God has not forgotten you, no matter how much it feels that way. He has a plan for this season of waiting, and if you will take His hand and follow Him into the unknown, He will draw you closer to Himself than you ever thought possible!
Along the way, I will share some verses, thoughts, quotes, testimonies, and books that have helped me during my journey. This will not be an exhaustive list by any means, and it is continually evolving, but perhaps you will find something that encourages your heart as well.
The journey of singleness is just that…a journey. Full of mountains and valleys, highways, thorny hedgerows, and seemingly impassable bridges. A path with more mist than clear skies, yet a path that grows more sweet as we walk it in the firm grip of God’s unchanging hand.
This month I hope to post once a day with a topic or encouraging thought. I hope that you will communicate with me if something specifically blesses you or if you would like clarification or more information on something.
Come join me on the journey!!!
